Membership Types

The organization offers four types of memberships designed to accommodate individuals from a variety of professional and personal backgrounds. The Regular membership is intended for physicians who are currently licensed to practice in California. Associate membership is available to current medical students as well as retired physicians. Affiliate membership includes pre-medical students and other healthcare professionals such as dentists, nurses, pharmacists, optometrists, and therapists. Lastly, Auxiliary membership is open to individuals in non-medical fields who support the mission and activities of the society.

Working in healthcare is not a requirement for membership. The organization is open to anyone living in California who is interested in supporting its goals and participating in its activities, regardless of professional background.

• Associate $80
• Affiliate $50
• Auxiliary $50

Although preference is given to individuals living near the San Francisco Bay Area, non-California residents may still apply. Acceptance in such cases depends on the applicant’s willingness to actively participate in the organization and maintain engagement with its members.

Filipino ethnicity is not a requirement for all membership types. While Regular membership is specifically reserved for Filipino physicians, individuals who are not Filipino-American may still apply under the Associate, Affiliate, or Auxiliary membership categories.
